Your probably wondering " what in the world is she talking about? How is that even possible? " well it is and it is really as easy as it sounds.
Three steps to get started for voluminous hair..
After applying your favorite hair serum from always ends working your way up to mid ends we move on to the following step.
Next, part on the crown area a halo shape and apply a root lifter aid to add volume to the crown area. When you begin the blow dry make sure to lift the area at a 90 degree where you wish to create volume and most important make sure the hair is completely dry at the root otherwise will flop back to lifeless and you will loose the volume you are seeking. Now after you've blow dried your hair it's time to move on to the following step.
You want to use a heat protectant spray before curling your hair. I like Paul Mitchel's Heat Seal because of it's multi purpose use. Heat Seal is humidity resistant, it increases body and enhances shine.
Moving forward it's time to pick up your 2" barrel curling iron which will give you just that! Yes that voluminous blow out look!
I love Hot Tools 2" barrel Curling Iron (look for the image below). I don't think there is a bigger one.. This is it. It's very affordable and will last you for years. This curling iron will heat up to 428 degrees and it also comes with a dial to control the temperature and for me that is always a plus since I like to have that flexibility to control the heat.
Begin by parting your hair in at least 3 sections in order to have better control while you curl your hair. Pick the area where you prefer your hair to part so you have better direction on how the frontal area will flow.
Curl the hair in the direction you want your hair to lay wether you curl in or curl out it's completely up to you. This is your creation, your art have fun with it and remember there is no right or wrong way the curl is directed, it's solely up to you. The barrel is so large that it's purpose is to create body mostly. Now you've created a blow out look a like without the blowout work!
