When choosing the right color becomes the wrong color.. well it does not have to be. Who says you cannot have a little fun with color?
The way I see it is when it comes to changing your look wether it's a color change, a hair cut or adding extension pieces they are not really "permanent" they become permanent when we maintain them to hold on to that look you so love to keep around because your afraid of changes. Look at it this way, when you color your hair, the color will begin to fade some and since your hair does grow wether it is slow or fast the bottom line is, it grows so it will need maintaining of either color touch ups and refreshers and the frequent hair trims to hold on to the shape of the hair cut you had six weeks prior so that alone says that what you did six weeks before is no longer the same. I find this actually exciting because for those of you who struggle with change, this should be an encourager to make that trip to your local hair professional and take that sigh of relief and go for it because next thing you know it will grow right back wether it is a few months away or a year depending the amount you had cut off. Color in the other hand is a different story you can really get creative and go wild and when I say wild I mean CHANGE in what ever direction you want to take it to since it can always be switched around. Not to discourage you but just to have you be aware, hair can take a little beating when it comes to chemical services but one thing to keep in mind if you are particular of holding on to the health of your hair then that is when maybe constant color changes from one extreme to another is when should be taken into consideration and to a moderation.
Booking a consultation with your local hair professional will be the best option to take so you can discuss ideas and directions to take your next look to. She/He can examine and determine the resistance/elasticity the hair has in order to take it to the next step and find out just how much your hair can handle if you are concerned about the health which I do recommend.
If you are one of those who like to buy box color from the drug store and wondering why it's feeling dry lately when all you are doing is running the same "blaa" color through over and over then you are that perfect candidate to give your hair that attention it desperately needs from someone who is trained to help bring your hair back to life and have fun with it for a change you will be glad that you took that initiative.
